The trial of a member of the Belarusian Helsinki Committee took place in the already familiar place for consideration of cases of mass events in the court of Oktyabrsky district of the city of Viciebsk. Judge Inna Grabovskaya considered the participation of human rights defenders in unauthorized actions held on March 25 and 26 as proven, and decided to subject him to a penalty in the form of administrative arrest.

The incident occurred on March 27 in the Oktyabrsky District Court of Viciebsk, where Judge Inna Grabovskaya was to examine the case of journalist Kastus Mardzvincau, who was detained – the day before. Before the beginning of the process, she stated that she wanted to hold a meeting in her office, and therefore would not allow anyone to consider it.

Both applicants received the refusals. The administration of Zheleznodorozhny district of Viciebsk banned a two-hour rally for CCP BPF member Jan Derzhavtsev, and the Viciebsk regional executive committee denied Kastus Smolikov, chairman of Viciebsk regional organization of the party BPF, permission to hold a protest rally on March 25 and march.

On March 21, the Oktyabrsky District Court examined administrative cases against two participants of a protest rally held in Viciebsk on February 26. The result of consideration: 50 base units (1150 rubles) of fine Tatiana Severinets, and 30 base (690 rubles) – Kirill Tatarevich.
