In the spring of 2017, many civil society activists, journalists, human rights activists faced detentions and arrests. Taking the opportunity, we decided to find out about the temporary detention facilities (IVS) of the Vitebsk region and to make a series of materials about the living conditions of people in these institutions. In the next part of our cycle, Viktor Stukov tells about his experience in the IVS.

Inspired by the idea of human rights activist Pavel Levinov, who went to the temporary detention center in Viciebsk with a document from the BHC that during the detention he would monitor the conditions in the detention center, Viciebsk Spring decided to make his own monitoring. Fortunately after the mass arrests of activists in the spring specifically to sit on the "day" for this is not necessary.
On June 9, in the court of Zheleznodorozhny district of Viciebsk, judge Alla Bordyukova continued her consideration of the administrative case of Nadezhda Kukonos, an activist of "Honest Power", who was accused of insubordination and insult of a police officer while performing his official duties (Code of Administrative Violations, Article 23.4 and Article 23.5).
