In Viciebsk, in the framework of the "Week of the Belarusian thought" there was a round table under the rather philosophical title "Praise cannot criticize: that Belarus is not so with opinion leaders."

Social activists, experts and just those for whom a free, conscious and reasoned thinking is not just words, for two and a half hours discussing what leadership is and how to be a leader in Belarus, as well as what the culture prevailing in the country today and what our problem.

Round Table Experts began Vyacheslav Bobrovich politicians and Sergey Nikolyuk. In the role of coordinator of the event made the leader of the civil campaign "Our House" Olga Karach.

The main question that was raised at the very beginning was: why Belarus has no national authority that would be recognized by all. And here it meant not only political leadership, but also intelligent, etc.

Vyacheslav Bobrovich once said that in our country the theme of leadership - it is central, which is in constant discussion. And first, let's talk about the policy leader - the current Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

According to the expert, a feature of the political leader, in principle, that he should be the leader for all. However, with such a judgment, not all agreed to participate in the discussion, noting that the leader of the politician can be the authority for most, but not all.

With specific regard to the Belarusian president and the secret of his leadership, here Bobrovich comes from the main problems of today, which he calls our society, generating Lukashenko and stores it until now. Political scientist calls it an authoritarian culture, adding that the need to get rid of it, because there is the habit of a single leader, and democracy, in turn, implies pluralism of opinions.

In the view of another analyst, Sergei Nikolyuk, the Belarusian leadership issue at the moment, it is not necessary at all, because the Belarusian society as a kind of unity does not exist, it can be split up indefinitely, in other words - it is split.

And on the political leadership of Lukashenko expert said that it largely lies in the fact that the majority thinks the same way as the president and his most understandable language. That is, again, going back to the society. In addition, as emphasized Nikolyuk largely average Belarusian - a man pre-state culture. And it means that he sees the state as a large family, and the head of state as "dad." Hence, we dance.

Now the leaders, intellectuals. There was less discussion. Sergey Nikolyuk did was adamant, saying that now there is no demand on the intellect. So how does the same author, such as Svetlana Aleksievich can become an intellectual leader, if there is no demand for literature? Nothing. After all, the demand generated by whom - the majority, and the majority are now simply live in a different world, and speaks a different language. That's all.

Lack of demand in the society as the reason for the absence of national leaders - it is one of the main conclusions, which was made at the end of the event. Plus - the presence of an authoritarian culture in Belarus, which makes it rather difficult question of dialogue and agreements.
