During the celebration of the City Day in Viciebsk, a car with a portrait of Joseph Stalin drove along the streets. Celebrations take place in honor of the 1,043th anniversary of the first mention of Viciebsk in the annals.

The criminal case on part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code (theft) was instituted against a tenth-grader of one of the schools in Viciebsk. The total amount of damage allegedly inflicted by a tenth grade student was 2 rubles 35 kopecks.
