Police department of Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee conducts inquiry into complaints received from Maxim Gaikov, Tatiana Bykova and Oleg Kvyatinski in response to the illegal actions of the police during the raid on the LGBT party in Vitebsk at "21" on the night of 12 to 13 January. Now activists have begun to call the police department in order to provide an explanation for the charges of complaints to the prosecutor.
Complaints were sent about three weeks ago. The prosecutor's office in response e-mailed with the complaints forwarded to the Chief Executive Committee of Internal Affairs, Colonel Igor Evseev. Applicants, in turn, received calls from employees of ATC requested to appear "on complaints."
"I got a call on the home phone and introduced themselves and invited to provide explanations regarding complaints against the police in the" XXI Century ", - said Maxim Gaikov, coordinator of "GayBelarus" in Vitebsk region. - For the police department asked me to verbally tell you what happened at the club that night, explain in detail what the unlawful actions of the Interior Ministry. On behalf of each of the applicants, ATC staff were drawn to the explanatory complaints. "I stayed there for literally 15 minutes and told them what was going on at the club and signed explanation.
