February 11, 1942 all the Jews of the ghetto Biešankovičy (around 3 000 people) were put on the other side of the Western Dvina and shot. February 11, 2016 on the site of the shooting took place a memorial service.

At the memorial event was attended by Chairman of the "Union of Belarusian Jewish Public Associations and Communities" Boris Gersten, chairman of the Republican Fund "Holocaust" Vadim Hakobyan, writer and journalist Arkady Shulman, a representative of the Jewish community of St. Petersburg Anna Klimovich on its initiative this summer, the old Jewish cemetery Biešankovičy began to arrange well.

After this meeting, the participants went to the old Jewish cemetery in Biešankovičy. There were inaugurated symbolic gate – information boards in four languages, telling about the life and fate of the Jews Biešankovičy.
