Polotsk court judge did not allow a lawyer to defend the interests of the Free Trade Union of Workers in the trial. Store manager "Alice-Plus" filed a lawsuit against the three former employees for compensation of shortage of almost 22 million rubles, the workers do not agree with the claim. Two of the three former workers are members store the Free Trade Union, but just in this and the judge hesitated.
At the preliminary court hearing on March 6 Viktor Roslyakov, who previously worked in the store security guard, filed a motion for approval of the Free Trade Union lawyer Nicholas balls. Court were provided documents confirming the legality of the participation of trade union lawyer: applications to join the union, attorney lawyer to represent the interests of members of Free Trade Union and the Charter of the SPB.
Judge Irina Dorotka considered that these documents do not confirm the membership of Mr. Rosliakova in St. Petersburg and asked to submit a document with the decision of the governing body of the union for admission Victor Rosliakova in free trade unions. Free trade union activists believe a violation of International Labour Organization Convention №87 on freedom of association in the union.
