The cassation complaint Vitebsk doctor Igor Postnov about the direction of his compulsory treatment in the regional center of Psychiatry and Addiction dismissed, according to local human rights activist Leonid Sveсik. The application was considered on September 12 Vitebsk regional court in closed session. Postnov asked to reverse the decision of the district court of Vitebsk and invite him to consider his own complaint. Both requests were not met.

According Sveсik, on Thursday evening representatives of public associations, political parties and citizens who know Postnov gathered to work out the next steps to protect the doctor. "Everyone expressed their point of view. Agreed to coordinate actions and agreed that the direction Postnov in a psychiatric hospital - this is a test of the authorities to the public about this method of punishment activists. After Postnov anything can happen, "- said the human rights activist.
