Political prisoner Igor Olinevich held in solitary Vitebsk colony 30 days. He was punished with a punishment cell for refusing to wash the common areas.
Parents of a political prisoner, Valentin and Vladimir got meeting with her son, who recently celebrated his fourth birthday in jail. Rendezvous lasted half an hour - through the glass and the phone. The previous meeting was held in June. The mother of the political prisoner told how he holds and the conditions under which it contains.
- Overall impression - firstly, the joy of what he was alive, and secondly, the feeling that one is ashamed to relax and break the arms and suffer when we still have such men as he. I was lucky that I was his mother. I just looked at him and wondered, he is absolutely calm and looking at all this even with some humor.
Of course, all that is being done to them - it's scary. I sometimes ask questions like: "Where are sitting all our political prisoners?". People think that we have created a special place where they live and are comfortable together. I want to say that even in Soviet times were kept in one political camp, and just such bullying as a violation of humane conditions of detention, as is happening now, I do not remember.
Now everyone is sitting separately - or in prison, or in jail. If a colony, then hangs over every threat that at any moment conditions may become more severe and turn into a real hell is absolutely without any reason.
It is not only Igor. All those who have recently released from prison - the same Sevyarinets Dashkevich, Avtukhovich - they, despite the fact that they are doing, do not lose heart. With them when to communicate, the impression as if the living water glotnesh. It's really bright people. Igor is no system call does not throw - he just keeps quiet. And recalling the story - Khodorkovsky, Solzhenitsyn - I see that the same conditions can break a man, and vice versa can make a person better.
- How Igor survived 30 days in solitary confinement?
- I ask him: "Igor, how is it, thirty days in solitary confinement, without books, paper and pens, without anything at all!". It was also this: the bed on which he sleeps at 5am rises and you can not go more than that is just can not sleep, because I go to bed smoking - a violation of the rules. And he replied: "Nothing, it's even better. No possibility to relax. I changed my mind about many things. "I ask him: "What did you do?". And he says: "Often isolation - on the contrary, even good, to streamline thoughts and ponder the important things in life." Poems to read, speak. Asks him whether he ponders the plot of a new book, but he said that all he wanted to write on this subject, has written in his book "Food in Magadan".
- What it pleases and support in this difficult time?
- Two years ago, we passed from the former Polish prisoners long warm scarf. Igor And although he did not know what kind of scarf, and immediately hung up on his shoulders, and lovingly stroked it. And I said to him: "Do you know who gave you?". And when he learned very glad: for him, the solidarity of people a lot. Now he was back in the scarf for him, he just some mascot now. I do not even know what kind of people gave him a scarf then, but perhaps they appreciate here is that this thing has got to destination and does play a role, warming him, both physically and mentally in this cold season.
- You're not afraid of that meeting falls through?
- When we went, we did not know, give us meeting or not. The decision could be revoked at any time.
- Did you give him some warm clothes and food?
- We took him and a food, and clothing gear. Since then, as he was transferred to another colony, he did not even have hygiene - they just were not given. Oddly, that did not take a bowl and slippers. But in each colony - their rules.
- What says Igor about the conditions in the colonies?
- He says that in their colony regime tougher every day. Not only in respect of it, but in general. Even to call - and he gave six months only one call - now we need to write a statement to collect signatures, and so on. As he says in his book: the past has no future ghostly, but only here and now. For us it was meeting here and now, and it was a great joy that we saw him alive and well.
Recall, May 27, 2011 Condo district of Minsk Judge Jeanne Kislyakova Igor Olinevich condemned to 8 years of imprisonment in a strict regime colony. He is now serving his sentence in Vitebsk colony. His, and Nicholas and Alexandra Dedkov Frantskevych, accused of organizing the procession in front of the Ministry of Defense, the attack on the casino "Shangri La" and insulator in Akrestsin, and arson door branch "BBK".
