On July 3, around 5:00 pm in Lepiel, near the beach on Lepiel Lake, an 11-year-old boy was showered with sand. The schoolboy came on vacation to his grandmother and together with two peers left to play on the city beach. Children dug in a sandy cliff hole and climbed there. Suddenly, the ground collapsed and completely buried one of the boys.

The guys desperately tried to dig out their friend, but they did not succeed, after which they ran for help to adults. The first to the cliff ran an employee of the rescue post OSVOD, he pulled the boy out of the ground.

The ambulance arrived and the Emergency Ministry arrived. Despite the resuscitation, the schoolboy's life could not be saved, the doctors stated the death of the child. The materials of the investigation on this incident have already been transferred to the district department of the Investigative Committee, the press service of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Viciebsk Oblast Executive Committee said.

In June 2014, two similar cases occurred in the Viciebsk region: region: two schoolchildren were buried in the in the Hłybokaje district, and one in Alhova, near Viciebsk. In all cases, the children died.
