Investigative Committee opened a new criminal case on construction for MUE "Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee UKS". A criminal case was initiated based on the Office for Combating Economic Crime (Economic Crimes) ATC Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee.
Director of the private construction company LLC "Sonata-Stroy" charged a crime under Part 6 of Article 16, Part 3 of Article 426 Criminal Code of Belarus (aiding in the abuse of power or authority). This article provides for penalties of up to 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
According to investigators, the suspect in 2008 helped one of the officers of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee UKS" in the commission of illegal acts, resulting in the company have been damaged in the amount of 460 million rubles.
Interestingly, in March 2012 the Minsk prosecutor's office against the director of LLC "Sonata-Stroy" has already been filed. He was charged with a crime under part 4 of Article 210 Criminal Code of Belarus (embezzlement through abuse of power). According to prosecutors, the suspect in the November-December 2010, the abuse of power, stole 235 million rubles.
We also recall that a year ago, the Investigation Committee on the materials of the same ATC UBEP Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee has opened a criminal case against the former director of the PSC "Capital Construction of Vitebsk regional executive committee."
According to the police department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, the suspect gave instructions for the preparation and signing of fictitious acts of completion, which were inflated volume value in preparation for the summer season of one of the children's camp area. The money to repair the camp were sent to the presidential program "Children of Belarus". According to the calculations of operational services, the damage from these actions the state budget amounted to more than 1 billion rubles.
The ex-directors were qualified under Part 3 of Article 424 of the Criminal Code of Belarus (abuse of power or of a position of authority).
