In Brasłaŭ on suspicion of corruption, Vladimir Dranevski and Elena Dranevskaya were detained – the chairman of the Brasłaŭ district executive committee and the head of the economy department of the district executive committee, respectively.
The couple was detained by police officers on suspicion of exceeding power and receiving bribes for the positive resolution of issues within their competence.
41-year-old Vladimir Dranevski is accused of corruption crimes provided for by part 3 of Article 430 of the Criminal Code (taking a bribe by a person in a responsible position) and part 3 of Article 426 of the Criminal Code (exceeding the authority and authority of a person in a responsible position), and his wife in obtaining a bribe (Article 16, part 3 of Article 430 of the Criminal Code).
Since the moment of detention, officials are in custody. The investigation of the corruption case continues, this was reported in the Information and Public Affairs Department of the UK. On the personal page of Dranevskaya you can see that the last time she visited her on June 26.
Vladimir Dranevski was appointed to the position of chairman of the Brasłaŭ district executive committee in late January 2015, before that he worked as a director of the Čašniki housing and communal services since 2010. Elena Dranevskaya at that time also worked as head of the economy department, in the Čašniki district executive committee. Dranevski and Dranevskaya have two sons.
Mr. Dranevski has two higher educations – in the field of "mechanization of reclamation and water management" and "accounting, analysis and audit". He received both diplomas at the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy.
Before heading Čašniki housing and communal services, Vladimir Dranevski managed to work as a precinct mechanic of the Čašniki construction and operation enterprise for reclamation and water management systems, a master of Lukomligaz branch of the Lukoml production department of gas facilities and the head of the diagnostic station of JSC "Motor transport enterprise No. 9".
In 2011, Vladimir Dranevski was awarded the honorary title of "Person of the Year of Viciebsk region" for his personal contribution to the development of the municipal industry.
Recall that from 2011 to 2015, the Čašniki regional executive committee was headed by Vladimir Bulai, who was first arrested on suspicion of abuse of authority by an official in charge, and less than six months later was placed in the chair of the OJSC "Klanovičy" director in the Krupsky district of the Minsk region.
