In Połacak February 19 was a discussion about the inadmissibility of the use of child forced labor in the educational process.
The reason for the discussion was the death of 13-year-old schoolgirl from Maładečna in agricultural work on the collection of potatoes in the autumn of 2016. The discussion was attended by 16 residents with an active civil position of Połacak region. The discussion lasted about three hours, in the end, it was decided to send the proposal to the local authorities of non-agricultural work in the direction of the students under the guise of educational process.
Meeting people with the discussion of the wrongfulness of the use of forced labor in agricultural students it was organized by the Połacak human rights partnership. The discussion was attended by residents of Połacak and Navapołacak, not indifferent to violations of basic norms of life in a civilized society. Among the participants were former and in-service teachers, workers of different enterprises, social activists, pensioners.
At the beginning of the meeting the head of the human rights organization Nikolai Sharah told about the tragic case in Maładečna, when the collective farm field died pupil of 8th class, hitting on the truck wheels. Participants then discussed the facts and causes of forced labor of schoolchildren and students. Among the causes of forced labor called: lack of awareness of citizens about their rights; lack of parents' attention to controlling the educational process in schools; violation of the authorities and officials of the education legislation prohibiting child forced labor.

Połacak human rights group charged with writing to remind municipal authorities and school authorities on the inadmissibility of forced labor schoolchildren. It is essential that parents and children know – Forced labor is prohibited. Schoolboys banned to involve work on the collective farms. It is forbidden to distract children from the educational process. The state should take care first of all about the health of children, so that they grow up educated, intelligent and beautiful."
Human rights activist Yuri Belsky: "As a result of discussions it was decided to send a written request to the chairman of the Połacak district executive committee on the prevention of child forced labor schoolchildren. And also make a memo to children and parents about children's rights are not involved in the work of up to 14 years and 14 years – only with parental permission. It was also decided to send an appeal and a reminder text principals of Połacak district."
