The goal of social and educational initiative "Children on the Internet" – to teach boys and girls to competently use the Internet, they were able to retrieve the information you need and do not mess up the World Wide Web, to react to trolling and other negative phenomena of social networking. The project Carries out of Mobile TeleSystems and supported by the Ministry of Education.
This project is being implemented for several years in Minsk. Volunteers from among the youth conduct lessons on Internet literacy among younger students, teach them safety rules in the virtual world. Now the project has connected Viciebsk, and became the first region to have supported the initiative.
As the director of the Viciebsk branch Vladislav Andreichenko, the initiative is already being implemented. To date, more than 70 students and students of Viciebsk volunteered to try yourself in the role of online instructors. This is mainly students of Masherov Viciebsk state University among future teachers and psychologists who can improve communication skills with children.
"The vast majority of students studying for graduate courses. We hope to continue volunteering and their first place of work, including in the district centers and villages. Thus, the project will be developed not only in the regional center, but also in the regions", – he said he hoped Vladislav Andreichenko.
Parting words to future volunteers said the Belarusian TV presenter and singer Georgy Koldun, who, incidentally, is a permanent teacher in the project "Our Children", held more than one lesson for students, and now divides skills with newcomers. One of such meetings was held at VSU.
"The project is interesting from a social point of view and useful for their own development, especially for people who are learning to teachers and psychologists. Personally, I'm attracted to teaching, because I grew up in a family of teachers. The project does not take much time, but it allows you to make high-quality and the right things", – says the showman.
By the way, in addition to communication skills and participate in doing good best volunteers, as promised by the organizers of the project, waiting for gifts.
