Created by the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the Belarusian Written Language Day, which will take place in Połacak September 3, 2017. The corresponding decree was adopted 1 November 2016, the website of the Council of Ministers.

Financing activities Written Language Day will be at the expense of the republican and local budgets, as well as other sources.

The organizing committee is headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Natalia Kochanova.
