Near lake Bałduk in the village Stančyki, Pastavy district, a businessman from the capital planned to build an Orthodox church. This was opposed by local residents and environmentalists, the opponents met in court. The journalists wrote a year ago. We decided to find out what is happening in the country right now.
Recall, in 2015 Minsk businessman Nikolai Romanovich, with the support of the authorities of Pastavy district and local clergy decided to build a temple in the village Stančyki. The idea caused protest of local residents and members of the public: in their view, the construction could harm the lake Bałduk, which is located next to the Stančyki. An electronic petition to stop the construction of the temple was signed by more than 16 thousand people.
In the fall of 2015 Public Association "Eco House" together with Stančyki residents filed a lawsuit in Hłybokaje District Court to hold a public discussion of the project of construction of the temple. But the action is not satisfied. The judge explained that the hearing retroactively conduct is not necessary, since the church project has passed the state examination, and work on the site is already underway.
A year has passed. Construction of the temple, about which broke as many copies in full swing. And there is quite active.
– Builders have erected the second floor of the church – said the regional coordinator of public environmental inspection of the "Green Patrol", a resident of a neighboring farm, Igor Pastukhov.
On the hill in underpopulated village Stančyki, who got lost in the woods, there is not only a temple in honor of the Mother of God "Life-giving Spring". Not far from the bell tower has been designed with the candle kiosk and an over-sump chapel. There is also the entrance Gate – from the village. In addition, the project envisages the courtyard next to the church, and a children's recreation camp.
These pictures show the changes that have occurred at the facility during the year. In the first photo – blank area for development in November 2015. The second – a year because of the fence is already clearly visible building.
The site, which was taken under construction, belongs to the protected areas. There were trees. In the autumn of 2015 they transplanted to another location outside the construction site. But we did it, according to the ecologist, a violation.
– About 50 pine trees under the age of 7-10 years were cut down or cut out the shovels and transplanted for the object fence in the reserve "Švakšty", – said Igor Pastukhov. – The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection has agreed to build a church, but with a condition – during the work should not delete objects of flora.
Most transplanted trees dried up.
– Pine trees can be transplanted only two years older trees do not survive, – explains the expert.
A year ago Igor Pastukhov showed reporters how transplanted pine: they can easily get out of the ground.
Kind of the same tree one year later.
Lake Bałduk – unique for Belarus: it is oblong form, and that the water is completely refreshed, you need 30 years. Ideally: the fewer people in the reserved region, the better.
From the hill to the temple to shore Bałduk – about half a kilometer. And environmentalists believe that the already high anthropogenic (ie, arising as a result of human activities) load to the lake will increase. And it can perish. The first sign of the degradation of its ecosystem – "blooming" of water – is already observed.
