The political prisoner Mikhail Zhamchuzhny, who is serving a sentence in a penal colony #14 in Navasady received an answer to a supervisory appeal, which has sent to the Supreme Court in early August.
In the complaint, Michail Zhamchuzhny reported that against him took place not "continue" operational experiment, but a repeated one, and a criminal case was opened against him for more than a year after the commission of wrongful acts. Therefore, law enforcement authorities artificially created the conditions that provoked him to repetition of similar actions to obtain evidence of his committing serious crimes.
In response to the complaint of the political prisoner, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court Ruslan Oniskevich he noted that the sentence handed down to Mikhail Zhemchuzhny in accordance with the law. The appeal court carefully examined the arguments of the complaint of the convicted person and a supplement to it and eventually agreed to sentencing.
It also became known that the founder of a human rights institution "Platform Innovation" transferred to another detachment of the penal colony. And already at the new location Zhamchuzhny received the first warning – for the fact that he was allegedly dirty cabinet. If he commits another violation, it will be considered a repeat infringer. On this occasion, Michail Zhamchuzhny filed a complaint against the administration of the colony.
Recall that in July 2015 Michail Zhamchuzhny was convicted Viciebsk regional court to 6 years imprisonment in a strict regime colony. October 23 the judicial board on criminal cases of the Supreme Court considered the cassation appeal and appointed Zhemchuzhny more severe punishment – six and a half years in prison. He was found guilty of willfully disclosing information constituting an official secret, and illegal acquisition of funds to secret information, which is an official secret.
The basis of the charges the following: Michail Zhamchuzhny formed: during 2013-2014 years, having received the consent of the employee of law enforcement bodies (senior inspector – on duty medical detox ATC Viciebsk Regional Executive Committee), Zhamchuzhny MI receiving official documents with information that, in his view, the public interest – information on prosecutions launched against officials, a summary for the years 2012 and 2013 incidents involving law enforcement officials, a special report upon the sudden death of a citizen Kudelko ATC IVS Viciebsk Regional Executive Committee, ordered the Ministry of Interior "On certain aspects of the work with the staff in the Ministry of Internal Affairs." These documents were transmitted to the Zhamchuzhnyy human rights institution "Platform".
