After registration, the CEC initiative group to collect signatures for the chairman of the party "Fair World" Syarhei Kalyakin, the chairman of the regional organization was headed by Nikolai Selivashko in the Viciebsk region and coordinating the practical part of this work.
The number of members of the initiative group in the northern region of Belarus reaches about three hundred persons (from 1500 - in the country). According to Mr. Selivashko, members of the initiative group were not only representatives of the party, but the people who are close to her ideas and principles, those who yearn for political change in the country.
Nikolai Ivanovich, you are not concerned that, according to political analyst Valery Karbalevich, which is based on the practice of previous campaigns, the initiative group of fewer than three thousand people cannot collect cherished hundred thousand signatures of voters?
In this regard, I disagree with Karbalevich. Group size can influence unless the rate of collection. Therefore, despite the forecasts Valeria, I somehow have full confidence that the necessary number of votes, we will gather. Based on our previous practice, I can say: there were examples where one collector handed at the end of 800-900 signatures.
How many signatures are planning to gather the members of your party in the Viciebsk region?
Talking now about the specific numbers hard enough. The real activity will communicate with voters. It will become evident: either the people want change, or the events in Ukraine will indirectly influence their activity. My personal contact with different people, and I have a lot of friends at the enterprises of the city seems to suggests that society craves change. However, when you offer people to take part in the election campaign, hits a wall of suspicion and reluctance. Wait, when someone will do everything for them. By the way, I want to note that the collection of signatures will be with us only on a voluntary basis, the money for this work will not pay.
Tell me, from your own observations, whether the government is interested to at least some extent, the elections were transparent?
I was at the meeting of the Executive Committee and, judging from the fact that not a single representative of our party was not included in the territorial commission, we can say that the government does not want to cooperate with the opposition parties. So talking about fair and transparent elections, is not necessary.
Do you know what today electoral support your party?
It all depends on who conducts polls. Different sources give different results. The average of anywhere from six to twelve percent.
Explain what distinguishes Sergei Kalyakin by Alexander Lukashenko and Sergei Haidukevich? For many of their political beliefs seem pretty close.
With regard Haidukevich, then, in my opinion, it stands as an obvious sparring partner Lukashenko, who at the right moment to take off in favor of the leading candidate. But Lukashenko as a typical populist, as the case may very well achieve other uses, including the ideas of our party, but that does not mean that he separates them and sticks. Hence people uninformed and there identification beliefs Kalyakin and Lukashenko.
What do you think your party participates in the current presidential campaign? What do you expect to achieve?
We view this company rather than as electoral and political as well as in terms of the campaign, we will have greater legal opportunities to promote our party and its ideas. Our mission: to remind people that there is such a party - "Fair World", for the silence that exists in official information space, it is necessary to destroy. The fact that in our electoral legislation is not possible to put forward candidates for parliament on party lists, cannot be considered civilized norms, as it leads to the marginalization of the national party system and political life as such. It comes to the absurd: who authorities planned two years before the parliamentary elections, and they are gone. Therefore, we will try to prove to people that our party is able to protect the interests of Belarusian citizens are not worse than the current government. And if we gather in the allotted time, the necessary number of signatures, it would mean that some people believed us. Napoleon's plans, we do not put ourselves, as we understand that as such elections in Belarus will not be another show called “Presidential elections”."
