Training for journalists of the region to create a regular smartphone news video was held on March 3 and 4 in Połacak. The training was conducted by the experienced video operator of Belsat TV channel, photographer, head of the Barysaŭ branch of the Belarusian Association of Journalists Alexander Zenkov. Journalists from Viciebsk, Hłybokaje and Połacak took part in the training.

On the first day, journalists studied the basic rules for making video shootings with an ordinary smartphone. The participants of the training learned what are the shooting plans, how to keep the smartphone during the filming, what the duration of shooting one plan is. The second day was devoted to the practice of videotaping and mounting the footage in a single video clip using a conventional smartphone.

In the morning, journalists videotaped in the city: they asked residents about the problem of the decree on "parasites", filmed a problematic road covering the old bridge across the river and prepared other materials. By the end of the training seminar, each participant created his own video on his own smartphone.

Journalists who write text materials participated in the training, so additional skills in video shooting will increase the professional potential of journalists in the region.

The obtained knowledge will allow journalists to quickly create video clips and quickly post them in social networks. The training was organized by the Połacak branch of the Belarusian Association of Journalists.
