As part of the board meeting of the Viciebsk region prosecutor's office summarizing the work for the first 6 months of this year, and the definition of tasks, which can further increase the effectiveness of the supervisory activities in the region.
The event was attended by Prosecutor General of Belarus Alexander Konyukov, Viciebsk region prosecutor Gennady Dysko and his deputy Alexander Sidorovich, Koren'kov George and Vladimir Guk.
Representatives of the regional prosecutor's office were marked by positive results of the work of law enforcement, and failures in law enforcement.
Thus, the joint efforts of law enforcement and prosecutorial supervision measures have contributed to the preservation of a stable operational environment. For the first six months 5 547 crimes were committed in the Viciebsk region, which exceeds the figures for the same period last year by 2.4%. However, at the same time it reduced the number of murders, robberies, burglaries, car theft. Also, there are fewer crimes that have been committed repeatedly in public places by persons in a state of intoxication. If we talk about the level of crime in the region in the first half, then 10 thousand people it was 46.4.
Regarding the situation by region, for the first 6 months significantly increased crime in Lozna, Pastavy, Čašniki districts as well as in the regional center.
Połacak, Miory, Dubroŭna, Haradok and Viciebsk regions – there were more committed grave and especially grave criminal acts.
Pastavy, Sianno, Čašniki, Miory district – it began to kill any more.
Dokšycy, Dubroŭna, Vierchniadźvinsk, Rasony, Tałačyn, Čašniki districts – are still high recidivism.
At the meeting it was noted that the need to improve the condition of the legality of the operational services, including with regard to tracing missing persons.
Equally important are the issues of security and mission-critical and other social facilities of Viciebsk on possible manifestations of extremism.
During the meeting and said that not everywhere in the district intensified activities aimed at the prevention of corruption.
It was also stressed that more attention should be paid to the strengthening of the military health, the preservation of state property, the implementation of the legislation on conscription of citizens for military, backup service, etc.
