For more than a year has passed since the verdict to the political prisoner Mikhail Zhemchuzhny. Departing of the sentence in a correctional colony #14, Mikhail does not break relations with fellow human rights activists, actively protects its rights and legitimate interests.
From official sources it became known that during his stay in prison a prisoner sent to the will and received 170 letters (incoming – 65, outgoing – 105). From June 17, the time setting on the register, he received 7 and sent 26 letters. This data does not trust Michael as "one received a letter sent by four responses adequate person is unacceptable." He suggests that prison intelligence agencies regulate the flow of messages and thereby violate his right to correspondence with the outside world. However, this assumption was not confirmed in the Department of Corrections, where Zhamchuzhny handled complaints.
Meanwhile, Mikhail found out the reason why the prison administration has given its status as a prisoner, prone to extremism and other destructive activities.
Obtaining this status "was a complete surprise – a political prisoner, wrote in a letter Vitebsk human rights activists – because for the entire period of detention in IK #14 had no comments violations, it has been certified as" has become the path of correction "and had encouragement for good behavior in the form of additional parcels".
The fact is that with the former head of the colony at the political prisoner was tacit agreement that the latter "does not post the white-red-white flag on the tube boiler room, and the administration does not climb into his soul"; but the head of the left to increase, and with the arrival of a new repression began. As a cornucopia poured remarks. And then "Operations Officer Captain Kryshtal decided that it was time to become a major and came up with my act of extremism", – says the prisoner of the colony #14. After that, the relevant commission has put it on the register, with the result that the conditions of serving the sentence is largely deteriorated.
Now the Belarusian public has the right to talk about the administrative and psychological pressure on Mikhail by DIN system.
"It saves hours. In general detachment [hours] no, and 4 checks a day need to be accurate, otherwise – the act and punishment" – conveys an atmosphere in which he has to serve his sentence, sixty-year-rights activist.
Michael Zhamchuzhny also complains of the fact that under various pretexts administration leaders did not allow him to make pictures that can be sent outside of the colony. While the photo shoot was, and photography were made against the background of a brick wall, and in the Orthodox Church under the icons, and books with Nobel laureate Svetlana Aleksievich with inscriptions of the author. But the images have not been approved by the persons responsible for selecting and printing photos for prisoners.
However, Zhamchuzhny is not discouraged. It reports that in principle he had "everything is fine". And he asked to convey his gratitude to colleagues, human rights activists for the recent public support for the media.
