During the work on the harvesting of crops in the Viciebsk region employees of the Department of State Labour Inspection has been revealed almost 3000 infringements.

According to BelTA, the most frequent cases of violations of safety are:
– lack of personal protective equipment or non-use of funds granted;
– violation of basic safety requirements for the organization of repair works of mobile technology in repair shops and operation of equipment grain drying complexes.

On a number of sites no fence on the operating technique, infringements related to the operation of lifting devices, automotive vehicles, self-propelled machines, harvesters. For example, the run-out of the technology without pre-trip medical examination tractor drivers, combine harvesters were not fully equipped with fire extinguishing agents and so on. And recorded isolated cases of violations of the organization in the workplace (in the field) points for rest and meals.

Inspectors in mobile groups in the period from late July to late September examined about 250 agricultural organizations in the area.

"In total 505 surveyed sites in 2995 revealed violations of the legislation on labor protection. Managers of mobile units sent 241 information about any violations employers to prepare appropriate recommendations for their elimination", – said Sergey Anoufriev, first deputy head of the Viciebsk Regional Management Department of the State Labour Inspectorate.

The outcome of the event was the ban on the use of 147 units of machine tools, machines and other production equipment, endangering human life and health, prohibited the implementation of 30 types of work, dismissed 182 employees without previous instruction, training, verification of knowledge on labor protection, medical examination , examination for finding the influence of alcohol, drugs or toxic substances, do not use personal protective equipment, sent 108 information on violations of legislation in the state bodies, including 63 – the prosecutor's office.
