Together with his colleague Dmitry Lupach attended the trial in a criminal case - the murder of a nine-month baby in December 2013. On the first day of the trial judge forbade reporters to use technical means. However, on the Internet, they found that an audio recording in the courtroom at the public meeting can be done even without the referee's permission. Such a rule is in the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Court number 11 of December 20, 2013. At the same time inform the court about the record is not required.

On the second day of the trial, journalists began to use tape recorders. It immediately drew the attention of the accused, who reported it to his lawyer, and he - the judge. Judge Lyudmila Vashenko threatened to remove reporters from the courtroom, forbidden to use tape recorders.

Vashenko: "Dear media, behave, please correct. At today's session of the court you did not ask the court for permission to conduct any record. According to the law, you have the right to conduct a manual record or tape recording. Other entries in the CCP are not provided, so please obey the law."

Incidentally, in the Code of Criminal Procedure does speak of manual or tape recording. But tape is outdated, and they have no one uses. Journalists plan to defend their rights and will appeal the judge's decision.
