Round-table on the issue of illegal dumps was held in Vorša. In the city there are several community initiatives that are engaged in the cleaning of suburban forests and illegal dumps. The state control and cleaning involved in several organizations with a large staff of employees. But with so many people involved in the fight for the purity, the problem exists.
One-time cleaning even for a while and help support the specific area clean, but do not solve the problem of overhaul. Penalties provided for, as practice shows, too, are not an effective tool in the fight for the purity. What then to do? Nobody do not like to live in the mud.
First round table participants noted that the dumping of garbage from each other differ significantly. So, for landfills, which are formed around the garage cooperatives must meet the chairmen of cooperatives, and the owners of garages are required to participate in the mass harvesting. Otherwise – fine. Accordingly, the problem of landfills can be solved with the help of a fine.
But fines difficult to solve the problem of dumps in the private sector, since in some cases, there are objective reasons, due to which the population can not "pass" the garbage once a week. And it should be considered separately landfill in suburban forests – here they are formed because of the fans to relax in nature, not to preserve the purity of nature. And in this case, the struggle to landfills must not engage in communal and forestry, workers who are already heavily loaded.
The discussion was quite hot – and talked about more stringent penalties and educating students. As a result of the round table participants were able to agree to the fact that the problem of landfills must address and social activists (working on public education, themselves setting an example), but the system work to clean up today existing landfills must organize the public authorities, which turned out proposals will be sent to the relevant urban services.
