Historian Yuri Koptik held for residents of Vorša tour through the woods on the street of Mogilev, where the communists destroyed the people.
At the end of the street in Vorša Mogilev are houses, gas stations, shops. But many Vorša residents due to careful concealment of the current authorities of Stalin's genocide of the 30s do not know what happened on the outskirts of the city in the woods. And memories of the old-timers suggest: black 30s often at night you could hear the sound of gunfire from the Kabylackaja mountain and in another part of Vorša on the street of Mogilev. Here, the executioners of the NKVD were shot residents of Vorša, Paddubcy, Panizoŭje; but they were the victims, not only comments from the number of inhabitants of the city and the surrounding villages, including those shot were even further of Vorša from the residents Babrujsk district.
The scale of destruction and cynicism of people really shocking, says Yuri Koptik. In some places, the red executioners poorly concealed the traces of their crime, witnesses of those times remember that once the people left the cows graze next to the wood. Back in the 30s there was a situation when the people saw in the woods on the Mogilev man, just dirt. He was crying and was sitting in a clearing. When asked what had happened, the man said that he, along with dozens of people were brought to be shot at night. All were shot, and the bullet hit him in the head, and only touched. The omission of the Bolshevik executioner sent a person's life, he was able to dig up and crawl out to the surface. But when got on the road and went through it, from Vorša seemed "craters" – obviously, there were "well-wishers" who reported Bandits in the form of a man who survived. The car took the man drove into the Vorša prison and the next day, for the information that was available, he nevertheless was killed in the same forest.
Many of the NKVD officers after retirement became foresters, and in the same forests where people shot themselves. It has been given clear instructions: destroy all the wreaths, crosses, signatures – in a word, all the memorials that people leave in the forest. Memorial in memory of the victims were not needed by the Soviet power, they are very fond of talking about the terrible crimes of the Nazis, but about their bloody deeds, the same terrible, tried to forget and destroy the people of any memory of those events. The executioner was done, according to Yuri Koptik historian, "Vorša pure invention" – immediately after the executions and burial of bodies, land seeded with grass. Already a couple of weeks, a month, the earth sprouted grass, and so that no one could not guess at once that here recently shot more than one hundred people. Yet on the victim looked like gullies that formed in the forest. There are those in the forest in Mogilev today. People saw in the forest fragments and the Crusades, which broke just those foresters.
