Life sentence – such is the sentence handed down on October 30 Viciebsk regional court 55-year-old Dmitry Golubev for the murder of a senior state inspector Vorša Interdistrict Inspectorate of protection of fauna and flora Gennady Ravkov.
We recall the morning of April 11 edition of the driver of the regional newspaper "Naša Tałačynščyna" Dmitry Golubev was in hunting areas near the village Petrashov Tałačyn district with an unregistered gun 16-caliber – uncovered and collected – and ammunition. This permits to hunt and hunting trips he did not have.
44-year-old senior state inspector Gennady Ravkov was at that time in the raid – was in uniform, with marks of distinction and badge. He saw Golubev, introduced himself, asked to stay and produce documents.
The intruder ignored the demands of the inspector who tried to escape. When Gennady Ravkov overtook him, he fired a gun at close range and fled. State inspector died on the spot. Gun and ammunition Golubev tried to hide – scattered them on the road. In his home they found 20 cartridges for weapons permits to keep and bear that he did not have.
The Court on this resonant case was two months – the end of August. Initially, the state prosecutor asked the defendant to appoint 25 years in prison. The prosecutor also upheld the claim of the widow Ravkov to the defendant 300 million rubles for moral damages.
In the process, a public prosecutor – Anna Tylets, was replaced by another – Sergei Selikhanov. New prosecutor asked for more severe punishment – life imprisonment, and also supported the claim of the deceased wife.
Position lawyer Peter Venglinskiy was: his client was innocent, and the tragedy of the hunt from the beginning explored unilaterally, including because of the hype in the press. According to the defense, Golubev blame only that kept unregistered weapons.
The accused in the murder of his guilt during the trial did not recognize. He has not done this and speaking with the last word. The man believes that he is guilty of death Ravkov senior state inspector, who had to pull out of his hand gun.
"The last word was emotional Dmitry Golubev, spoke for about an hour. Asked the court to properly put a comma in the expression "Eats, Blogs", explaining that, in his view, did not deserve prison, "– said the deputy chief of the regional prosecutor's office Sergei Selikhanov.
Dmitry Golubev found guilty of crimes of claim. 10 h. 2 tablespoons. 139 (murder of a person in connection with his official activity or performance of public debt) and b. 2. Art. 295 (illegal actions with respect to firearms, ammunition and explosives) of the Criminal Code.
"To the defendant used an exceptional punishment of life imprisonment in a penal colony of special regime", – said the prosecutor.
An appeal if it is followed, the Supreme Court will consider.
Dead Gennady Ravkov, except his wife, there are still elderly mother, two daughters and a little granddaughter.
