The National Statistical Committee this month released data on environmental protection for 2014. Among the many data protection of nature and provides data on air pollution in cities and regions of the country from 2010 to 2014.
By Haradok district over the years, an increase of harmful substances into the atmosphere. So, if in 2010 were released into the atmosphere 900 tons of pollutants in 2013 – 1500 tons, and last year – 1,700 tons. It is approximately 70 kilograms of pollutants per inhabitant area. The increase of emissions, thus, five years was 188%.
By city region, these figures are much lower emissions per capita: Viciebsk – 10 kg, Vorša – 17 kg, Polacak – 27 kg. "The champion" in the country on emissions per capita is Navapolacak – 481 kg, and in the second place Žłobin – 121 kg.
In the Vitebsk region is captured and neutralized the smallest percentage of harmful substances emitted into the atmosphere, – 52.2%, while the national rate at 88.7%. Another smaller part of harmful substances captured and neutralized in Haradok district. Of the 1,700 tons of harmful substances released into the atmosphere in the region mainly in woodworking shops, caught only 500 tons – 34%.
