Grishanov asked the court to restore a missed deadline, but the request to that effect had not been met.

Before the start of hearings in Regional Court Igor Grishanov he applied for admission of the photos of the club, which show that the building was in good condition and could not be employed for decades for its intended purpose. Also in the case file they were attached and photos of activities that were carried out within its walls. Defending its own right and the right of his fellow villagers on introduction to the cultural sphere, one of the components of which the club and is the village Stavry headman, giving explanations on the merits of the case, said: "The building of the rural House of Culture held meetings with deputies and local officials; meetings were held, concerts; stayed during his visit to the doctors who made an overview of visitors; Artists came to the club. And now, four days ago, on the day the country held a concert on the street. Recently, doctors have come and inspect on a bench near my manor. I had to invite home, sit on the beds. Previously, all this was carried out at the club. So the club is vital to our village. We want to preserve their customs and traditions. Twice a year I bring a priest – at Easter and Epiphany. Earlier, when the weather does not permit, we were able to go all the club now has the opportunity not to take advantage. And in the village currently lives and sixty-six people, and those who come to the garden, – already one hundred and seven."
During the trial, members of the regional college have expressed interest in the circumstances related to the overhaul of the club, held in 2013 at the expense of regional department of culture. Answering their questions, Mr. Grishanov explained: "In 2013, the Department of Culture has purchased construction materials, boards, covered the ceiling, again blocked the roof, changed the floor, decorated walls – a lot of money invested. Completely renovated it, it was clean, tidy. Since 2000, the building on the balance of the poultry farm. At the end of his speech before the judges Igor Grishanov hoped understanding of the members of the judicial collegium fact and faith in the justice of the verdict, as the club has been like a church for the villagers: "Thus, the shrine was destroyed our national culture.
