The letter, signed by Information Minister Liliya Ananich was sent to the email address provided on the site. "We put on notice that the information resources located at www.freeregion.info, revealed violations of the legislation on the media. In this regard, we offer up to 15 May 2015 to submit to the Ministry of Information of Belarus information concerning the owner of the information resource," – said in the letter.

Information Minister wants to know, in particular, the name of the legal entity (owner) or the surname, name and patronymic of the physical person (the owner) and registered address or place of residence.

The Ministry informs the addressee letter, which is listed as the "owner of the information resource" (no name), that "in accordance with sub-paragraph 1.2 of paragraph 1 of Article 49 of the Law "On mass media" owner of an information resource issue a written warning for spreading false information that It may cause harm to state or public interests."

The site owner is reminded: "In addition, pursuant to paragraph 1 of Article 51¹ of the Media Law by the decision of the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus to restrict access to the products of the mass media disseminated through the information resources available in the Internet, in the case of:

– Marked owner of an information resource throughout the year two or more written warnings;

– Non-compliance owner of an information resource legal requirements of the state body to eliminate violations of legislation of the Republic of Belarus on the media;

– Dissemination of information resources through messages and (or) materials that are banned or restricted for distribution in accordance with the legislative acts of the Republic of Belarus, and came into force of the court."
