On the stairs of the Vitebsk department store, between the 1st and 2nd floors, there are two boxes to collect donations. As mentioned on the posters glued to the polls, donations meant "children of Donbass".

How much money to the organizers of the action has succeeded in gathering is not known as boxes are not transparent. However, many Vitebsk residents who want to help children, afraid to make donations this way. They are afraid of becoming victims of scams, because there is no information anywhere, who collect funds. Also, it does not know who gave permission for this action.

In one of the boxes have a picture Orthodox cross, but whether the organizers of the fundraising though any relation to the church – is unknown.

Even if the fundraiser – honest people, and indeed all collected will be transferred to the Donbass, questions still remain. Since the territory of Donbass, war-torn, not controlled by the government of Ukraine, residents of Vitebsk worry that they collected funds can actually go not to children, but to separatist fighters.
