On April 24, the court of Orsha and Orsha district was considered a civil case on the complaint of the village chief Stavrou, a member of the organizing committee of the BCD Igor Grishanova the actions of "Poultry Orsha". First preliminary meeting was the latest and Judge Natalya Arkhipova "due to the omission of the term of appeal to a court established by the Civil Procedure Code of the Republic of Belarus", dismissed the complainant claims to show.
Apply to the court Igor Grishanova constrained absurd, in his opinion, the actions of the poultry farm. Following the 2013 overhaul of the village club, unexpectedly villagers Stavrou, it was decided to demolish the building.
Manual poultry farm, which was the owner of the club, did not take into account that within its walls served the local folk group "Haspadynka", hold meetings, meetings with MPs and artists were placed mobile hospital, clinic and "House of social services".
Local residents were even ready to take the club to its full content, because it was believed that this cultural center helped to preserve local traditions, national culture and customs. But all attempts to reach an understanding with the leaders of the poultry farm were in vain: just a year after the overhaul of the club building razed to the ground. Villagers rebelled so dismissive attitude to their rights and began to complain. Appealed to the Orsha District and Vitebsk Regional Executive Committees, then – in the presidential administration. Finally decided to seek the truth in court.
Farmer Igor Grishanov – not a random person in the village. He was born, grew up and lived for half a century on this earth. And so everything that happens in his homeland, is like a master: thanks to his efforts, the village had a gas; filled one of the streets leading to the cemetery, gravel; laid a small park. He got from the local authorities and to the cemetery fenced concrete fence; for his initiative in the village and built a monument to his countrymen who died during the war.
Mr. Igor said: "The club in some degree for the villagers was the church. Grandmother sang old songs there, passed the secrets of culinary skill, and shared their experiences with the young. But Orsha poultry, citing the fact that the clubhouse was allegedly built in 1935 and is a danger to those who were going, laid him. Now people do not know what to do in the winter, and the layer of rural culture that had been accumulated by our ancestors, simply perish. This is a crime. And it's a crime they do not anyhow who, as managers of large enterprises."
Igor Grishanov confident that despite the current court's decision not to hear the case has become essentially "the main battle for our farmhouse culture is yet to come".
Situation commented coordinator of the organizing committee for creation of the BCD in the Vitebsk region Tatiana Sevyarynets, who came to support the Orsha party activist in court: "Today the court, unfortunately, refused to hear the case of the destruction of the village club. Igor Grishanov, which is the village headman Stavrou, worries and suffering of their fellow countrymen. He lives here, he had a large farm, and so it is understandable desire. It so happened that the appeal period was missed, but this is not the end of the case. Knowing Igor, his emotional experience and responsibility for their village, for the people, I believe he will continue to fight for the restoration of the House of Culture. In rural areas, people live. And let them not as much as it was in the second half of the last century (from eight inhabitants number decreased to sixty-plus), but these people need the attention of authorities and human living conditions. Shameful actions and indifferent attitude poultry farm management and Orsha District Executive Committee seem incomprehensible."
