January 30 members of the NGO "Belarusian Association of Journalists" met together to discuss a wide range of problems. Leonid Gorovoj, member of the Belarusian Association of Journalists of the district center of town, which is also an expert NGO "Local government and society," presented present the results of monitoring assessment participation of NGOs and the public in decision-making by local authorities. On the example of Vitebsk, Orsha and Postavsky areas he spoke about the difficulties faced by citizens, including journalists, when trying to attract the attention of local authorities to solve specific problems.
