Loss of confidence in the police observed throughout Belarus. In 2014 in Vitebsk region average full public confidence in the police has decreased from 36.2% to 35.5% and reached the level of 2011.
By reducing the average rating for the area law enforcement agencies managed to achieve positive dynamics in nine regions. Accordingly, in the remaining 13 districts and in Vitebsk full confidence level or decreased, or remained the same. First time here ATC Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee did not publish a map with infographics this indicator and dynamics of trust can be traced only to the successful areas.
The report notes the high level (above average regional) full public confidence in the police to transport objects: in Orsha OVDT - up 10.8%, Vitebsk OVDT - up 9.9%. However, if the transfer rates in absolute terms and compared with last year, the police in Vitebsk Transportation will retain the same level - 45.4%, and in Orsha OVDT there is a decline by 0.2 percentage points - 46.3% vs. 46.5% in 2013.
Assessing the responsiveness of police presence on the reports and allegations of offenses, 83.5% of respondents noted the high responsiveness of the police in handling telephone "102" - the figure although it remains the highest in the country, but compared to last year, down 1 7 percentage points.
Number of respondents who accessed the internal affairs bodies and are satisfied with the decisions taken on their applications, timeliness and completeness of inspections decreased by 2.6 percentage points and was 52.3%. This figure is the highest in the Miory region (69.9%), whereas last year was Gluboksky (71.3%).
Very sharp decrease in the number of people who in the case of a real threat to life, health, property ready to seek help from the police - at the end of 2014 this figure was only 67.6%, whereas last year reached 80.6%.
Road safety satisfied 44.1% (0.4%) of the population of Vitebsk region (the national average - 42.5%). The highest rate in Syanno district (56.4%), Almaty (55.7%) and Sharkovshchina (53%) of the area. 33% of respondents believe that the state of road safety in recent years has improved. However, 5.1% of the index mark deterioration.
