Head of Rock Club «Doors» Alexander Mukhin defend their rights in the Vitebsk regional court. He was able to conclusively prove that last year he was illegally detained and placed on involuntary psychiatric treatment.
The history of relations between resident of Baran Alexander Mukhin with local psychiatrists began in 2014. May 10 he was taken from his home in Orsha psychiatric clinic. After talking with the doctors he was diagnosed with "alcohol dependence syndrome" and began to forced medical procedures.
Compulsory treatment lasted three days. Alexander Mukhin was not allowed to call my family, took the glasses, without which it is difficult to do, since it has a high degree of myopia. And the staff, he said, kept saying that his hospital will no longer be released. Nevertheless, on May 12 he was sent home, but put on record in the mental hospital.
Mr. Mukhin did not widely report about the incident, but wrote a letter to the prosecutor's office Orsha. Added well as his futile desire to withdraw from the psychiatric records.
After an appeal to the prosecutor removed from the register Mukhin, and 23 July, he received a letter from the central clinic, where the leadership recognized that psychiatrists have put a false diagnosis and violated the rights of the patient. This document was the argument in court: Alexander Mukhin wrote a claim for damages to his honor, dignity and business reputation and demanded compensation for moral damages in the amount of 25 million rubles.
The court decided to collect from the clinic 3 million rubles in favor of Mukhin. However, such a solution is not agreed to the chief doctor of medical institution Alexander Plytkevich. Despite the fact that the widow has been answered, which were confirmed violations, chief physician clinics tried to justify the actions of colleagues.
Nevertheless, January 22, 2015 Vitebsk Regional Court upheld the decision of the court of Orsha regarding compensation to the victim. With regard to the actions of medical staff, the situation with Mukhin became the basis for certification of specialists in the knowledge of the legislation, they should be guided in such cases.
For most of Alexander Mukhin the protection of self-esteem was fundamental. He - well-known personality in the region, founder and leader of a rock club «Doors», organizer of numerous concerts.
