November 10, 2014 was the start of the campaign, "Improving the quality of health care in Vitebsk". About this campaigners announced at a press conference held in Vitebsk.
Campaigners have summed up the survey population for the quality of medical care, which implies that the majority of respondents do not satisfied with the state of medicine in the regional center - 36 percent. 30.6% more satisfied, 14.4% - not at all satisfied. Respondents noted that health workers treat them with indifference and irritation - 43.2%, but 41.4% say that their service in clinics and hospitals polite, attentive. Given that 55.8% of respondents visited health facilities only a few times a year.
Of the problems referred to the presence of large queues - 41.4%; difficulties in obtaining consultation narrow specialists - 28.8%; difficulties in obtaining directions - 21.6%; poor organization of the registry - 18%. All 100% of respondents use paid services. The main reason - the need to wait long for free services, the study - 36%; absence of the required services in the clinic - 27%; "not offered without charge" - 25.2%. Payable people and examination - 45%, tools, equipment - 50.4%; medicines in hospitals - 10.8%.
In addition, there are big problems in Vitebsk with the construction of new health centers, long planned by the city authorities (Bilev, South-7), the renovation of the hospital №2, infectious. In September the government quietly cut from the city budget financing of health care by 30%.
All these people are very concerned. Campaigners plan to contribute to solving these problems. Will be drawn up special treatment in the Ministry of Health, the city executive committee, ordered pickets appeal to the House of Representatives, the local council.
