The political prisoner Mikhail Zhamchuzhny, whose correspondence was absent for several months, finally got the opportunity to write letters to his colleagues, friends, associates and human rights activists. From a letter received by human rights activist Tatyana Revyako, it became known that Mikhail Zhamchuzhny from January 6 was sent for one month to a chamber-type room (PKT).
He notes: "I have been in isolation since August 3. 100 days in SHIZO were not given easily."
It is not clear from the letter of the political prisoner whether his current placement in the PCT is the provision of his personal security, which he sought from the administration of the colony, or it is again issued as another punishment.
Mikhail Zhamchuzhny was waiting for the transfer to the PCT, if only because the conditions of detention there provide for the possibility of receiving correspondence and using writing materials for writing letters.
"There are a lot of newspapers and letters in the detachment, they promised to give it tomorrow," the political prisoner notes in his letter.
He reports that he will soon respond to letters that have been waiting for him all this time of isolation, and also thanks everyone for his support and congratulates all the holidays with which he did not have the opportunity to congratulate his friends.
He defines his current position with a short phrase: "Now the situation has stabilized, the situation has become controlled and predictable."
In addition, the Human Rights Center "Viasna" learned that at 10 am on January 17, a trial of Mikhail Zhamchuzhny's cassation appeal was sent to the Mahiloŭ regional court against the decision of the Horki district court, which refused to satisfy him about the very first penalty.
Mikhail Zhamchuzhny also filed a complaint with the Horki District Court against three penalties in the form of a room in the SHIZO, issued to him on August 9, 16 and 28, 2017, the grounds for the cancellation of which were not found by the Department of Penalty Execution in the Mahiloŭ region.
Recall that from the beginning of August 2017, the administration of the colony No. 9 in Horki, where the political prisoner is serving punishment, began to take the punishment to Mikhail Zhamchuzhny for failures turns into a detachment formed from prisoners with "low status." At the beginning of December 2017, it was known about 14 penalties in the form of premises in SHIZO and PKT. Probably, by the time of transfer to PKT in early January, the number of penalties was large.
Of particular concern is the fact that in his explanatory notes, which the political prisoner gave during the collection of the penalties, he pointed to the true reasons for the refusals to "go to the detachment" and demanded his transfer to a safe place. At the same time, Mikhail Zhamchuzhny's statements about placing him in a safe place were not reacted by the administration.
