"We believe that under a dictatorship elections are impossible in nature. We will offer the voters to boycott the elections in illegal "“tent pocket”" – as four members of the CCP BPF wrote in their applications for pickets filed with the administration of all areas of Viciebsk.
Also in their proposals the opposition invited representatives of regional administrations to take part himself in the celebration, "so that the picketing was held with the participation of government and in the place specified by the public authorities." The reason for this invitation: according to the decision of the Viciebsk city executive committee № 881, adopted in 2009, to organize a mass event, it is necessary to conclude contracts on his service with communal services, police and doctors that cannot be done in practice; if the organization and conduct of the event attended by the authorities, such agreements do not need to.
It is supposed to hold a 21 pickets: 7 in each of the areas of the city, starting from September 5 and ending day of the primary vote, on 11 September. Despite the fact that the CCP BPF activists constantly declare the illegitimacy of the current Belarusian authorities, they still are going to follow the instructions of local authorities regarding the Viciebsk approved venues for events: all pickets to be held at the sites identified in the above-mentioned decision of the executive committee number 881.
Recall that in contrast to other registered opposition party, the CCP BPF is a consistent supporter of a boycott of the elections at all levels, taking place in the country after the 1996 referendum and the changes that they consider unlawful, as a result have been included in the Constitution. During all electoral campaigns that took place in recent years, Viciebsk activists of the party repeatedly applied for carrying out of actions in support of the boycott, but none of their application was not satisfied with the local authorities. Several times members of the party resolved to unauthorized pickets, for that brought to administrative responsibility.
