Public activists Połacak region gathered on March 16 in the town of Navapołacak court to support the Belarusian Social Democratic Party member Alexey Zhelnov (Milyukov). Alexei filed a lawsuit against his employer, Navapołacak LTP №8, to reclaim unpaid wages. In Alexei employment contract contains a minimum wage, but he paid only half – a little more than a million rubles.
The court held a preliminary review of the claim, said Alexei application for admission to the meeting of his defense counsel, lawyer REWU. Judge Svetlana Volkova agreed with the request and appointed a court hearing for 10:00 on 23 March.
Prehistory
Alex is serving a sentence in the "chemistry" of resistance and violence against employees of traffic police. Father Alexei, Oleg Zhelnov, is a famous blogger from Bobruisk, who shoots videos on violations of local traffic police and share them online. He was confident that the condemnation of his son – a place to him by employees of traffic police for the disclosure of information about the numerous violations and abuses of power by traffic policemen. Father and son Zhelnovs believe that Alex convicted illegally, but to restore justice through the courts it is not yet possible.
Alex is on the "chemistry" in November, 2014. At first, he was serving a sentence in Homel, where she moved, and his wife. After Alex petitioned to be transferred to Bobruisk to serve life in the community, chiefs of Penitentiary Department (DIN) on the contrary sent Alexei away from home – in the town of Navapołacak, where he is from August 2015.
