Five residents of Viciebsk CCP BPF member, appealed to the administration of Pervomaisky and Viciebsk Railway district to hold the shares for a resolution to the 98th anniversary of the Belarusian People's Republic.

Activists want to hold pickets on March 25 at the places that are specifically identified by the local authorities to hold outdoor events – a recreation park railroad (railway area) and a park named after the 30th anniversary of the Young Communist League (Pervomaisky district).

Over the past 6 years in Viciebsk was not allowed any of the action on the initiative of civil society activists, as they are unable to fulfill the requirements regarding the solutions Viciebsk City Executive Committee and the organization of mass events. Viciebsk authorities, in turn, categorically refuse to make changes to the impossible demands.

However, according to one of Jan Dzyarzhautsau applicants, it is necessary to constantly remind the authorities of their rights:

"For over six years, we are deprived of the right to publicly express their opinions. It refers to the fact that we do not conclude the contract for maintenance of the shares, although it is well known in each of the local administration: it is impossible to conclude such a treaty. Viciebsk activists sued the officials complained to higher authorities – but it was ineffectual. However, the authorities need to know that we have not renounced the idea to convey their views to the people and that we are mindful of their constitutional rights they violate. And we will defend them."
