The correspondent of "Vitebsk spring" asked passers-by on the streets of Vitebsk, whether they intend to take part in the presidential elections, and if so, for whom to vote.
Dmitry, 38 years old:
This is the second election in which I participate. Before, I was an apolitical person. But with age, I began to realize that it is impossible to be apolitical in a country such as ours. Not interested in politics can be anywhere in Sweden, Norway and Germany – where everything is arranged, where the political system works by itself. There you can afford to be out of politics. In our country it is necessary to take part in elections. Being apolitical here – it means to be an accomplice or witness and to be silent. But along with the apolitical part of the population we have and the people who piously believing that we can not change anything. There are many people who simply frightened and obeys the will of the authorities.
On the other hand, knowing how to vote with my friends and neighbors, I can say: well, can not be those percentages, which is voiced by the CEC. There are, of course, our "sun-like" electorate: pensioners, women... Not much understanding in politics, these people make their choice is not the head. This young to understand, can sit for hours in the network, and older people are programmed to a different system behavior. Pensioners, ordinary workers will not do it. And, of course, they are based on the information that it offers television, or heard some from someone.
By the way, I have an offer, but do not know how feasible it is. Maybe it's someone properly formalize. I'll go to a vote. And since we live in the 21st century, I'll do a Self, as it is fashionable among young people: take a picture of your mobile phone, my passport, my newsletter. And then, if you like me, will be a lot, it will be possible to put all of this in social networks or to organize a mass greeting card Mrs. Yermoshina. I do not think we should be afraid of this. This idea I have long cherished, and so now it is proposed. I think that some of the people able to commit such an act.
Edward, pensioner:
I'm not very interested in politics, but I'll go to the polls – and why not? Previously, I voted for Pozniak. But with regard to Ukraine – they are there ... closer to Europe, I agree. For anyone not going to vote ... I'll go to America – I have a sister there. This policy ... is Masherov's and Pozniak climbed naked on the armor. He retired the first year, and unless you can live on it?
Vladimir, 18 years old:
Not that now is the time to make comments regarding the election. You imagine yourself: I have a family to feed her child small. I work for a company, not a bummer, but is it possible to live decently on four million rubles? For the incumbent president will definitely not vote. I signed up for Karatkevich. Maybe for her and vote.
Maria, 55 years old, works:
And why not go? Be sure to go. I vote for Lukashenka. Glory to God, peace, order in the country, do not shoot as in Ukraine. I'm retired, but I can work as long as there is strength. No I do not kicks. I was happy with everything. And my children are all well. I will vote for Lukashenko alone, let God give him health.
Arkady, 17 years old, graduated from high school, went to university:
In September, I am turning eighteen years – and this will be my first choice. Most likely, these elections will not change anything. Although I would like to have a change. Personally, I will vote for Tatiana Karatkevich. Some of my friends will not even take part in elections, but I do not agree their position. Most people think that the results are known in advance, and can not change anything. And how then to be with personal civil position?
Raisa, pensioner:
There were times when I threw a piece of paper instead of a newsletter, for which I would like to hand over to the police. And in this election did not vote for anyone, except for Karatkevich. Go there for the elections – it will be seen that the situation prevailing at the time of voting.
Jan, pensioner:
On the show called "elections" that holds illegally elected president of Belarus Lukashenko, I will not go, because honestly we have no choice. The Belarusian "Ulus" ruled the governor of Moscow. After destroying the germs of national democracy, Lukashenko acts in the interests of the Russian Empire, destroying all the Belarussian: history, language, culture. I will never vote for a dictatorship of the mafia family and traitors who are alien to the state.
