The group of Belarusian journalists visited the Ukrainian city of Chernihiv on the eve of elections there deputy in parliament. Among the guests was a journalist and Chernihiv from Połacak Viktor Stukov, who kindly shared with “Vitebsk spring” impressions about the Ukrainian elections and compared them with the Belarusian.
– Elections in Ukraine differ significantly from the so-called "elections" in Belarus. Even an ordinary visitor of the city was visible campaign: Chernihiv was gay billboards candidates were campaigning throughout the tent with the distribution of campaign leaflets. Massively distributed newspapers and leaflets on elections, the candidates and the socio-economic problems of the city and the country.
One mandate of the deputy Rada of Ukraine claimed in Chernigov 91 candidate of them were nominated by political parties, 7, and by self – 84. The election results are already known, defeated the candidate of the bloc Petro Poroshenko, the head of the State Administration affairs Sergei Berezenko from 35.9%.
Wealthy candidates distributed in the city of grocery bags. Thus, the city was set on a clearing-tent headquarters of Genady Korban. On one side of the tent – free attractions for children, where a queue of parents with children. On the other hand – a big tent where handing out packages of food, and most of all pensioners. But this did not help buying votes a candidate Korban, he took second place with 14.76% of the vote.
In the city the evening meetings were held and concerts campaigning for candidates, the election campaign was obvious from all the billboards.
In Chernihiv Belarusian reporters studied the world experience in the use of conventional journalistic smartphones to create videos for television and news sites.
In just a few days before the election correspondents as a practice we conducted a survey of local residents on the street: "Will these elections in your future life?"
"Elections will not affect either my life or the lives of other people, because there is no order ..." – says a middle-aged woman.
"Affect. Everyone thinks he chooses people who affect our lives for the better, our life will be better, richer ... "– a young mother walking with a baby.
"People are tired of all sorts of handouts, money and so on ... The oligarchs people are already fed up, so people are now trying to vote for candidates of normal, and I think that everything has changed for the better ..." – says the guy campaigning for the candidate of the All-Ukrainian Union "Freedom" .
"Everyone hopes for the best. I would like to have something good, stability of some ... "– says a young woman.
A young man: "Elections are absolutely no effect on my life. Because I handled the problem of all – to the Korban to Berezenko personally to Andreichenko. Yama away from the yard, cannot drive no car or ambulance. I myself with the men for 100 hryvnia has agreed, covered pit, but the rain washed away, it is impossible to pass ... and all do not care ... I in fact do not believe anyone ... I understand that it's all razvodnyak ... "
A girl, campaigning for Mikola Zverev: "I believe the election could affect, if you select the normal candidate who will do something for the people – not only myself, but also think about the people. There are candidates, say – will do for the people in the end it turns out only for themselves. But unity is, and that we do not forget. I hope that our jobs will again be all right..."
Not all passersby agreed to be interviewed on camera smartphone. Every other refused, which corresponds to the world practice in a free democratic country. Belarus is getting worse – we have to convince the passer to say anything on the camera much more difficult.
