Paul Levinau required to find and punish traffickers flags of the USSR. He sent an application to the Chief of police Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee and informed about the facts of repeated appearance of unknown persons with red flags near the shopping center "Evikom".
The application Paul Levinau put pictures of guys and girls who 20 and 25 March violated public order – hinder the passage of passers-by, pestering him with offers to buy the symbolism of the former Soviet Union, as well as to demonstrate their political views, showing a piece of paper with the words "Born in the USSR".
According to human rights activist, unknown actions fall under the administrative article 23.34 – organization and holding an unauthorized event:
"A guy and a girl who 20 and 25 March were on the street Tereshkova, near the shopping center "Evikom" clearly expressed their social and political interests. We can say that it was picketing with flags that are not registered in the prescribed manner. Moreover, they interfere with the flow of passers-by. Police must respond appropriately to the offense and to punish the guilty – because we have punished the same for white-red-white flags. Find out the identity of picketers, I think, is not difficult: I send the head of the regional police department pictures from the Internet and made me and my friends."
Paul Levinau stresses that distributors Soviet flags are not hidden, are openly appear near the market "Evikom" is often photographed and even do not hesitate. Just do not talk – show gestures that deaf.
Human rights activist asks the chief of regional police control took the case under his control and sent it to the proceedings to his subordinates – in October police department:
"Let them understand, because the law should work the same way for each citizen. Establish the identity of the supporters of the USSR and the corresponding symbols is not difficult: could also head of the department of law enforcement Railway police department, Major Alexander Rybak set of participants of the famous photo shoot with birds and cages. Journalists and activists have also found the photos on the Internet, and Major Rybakov made for each protocol for participation in an unsanctioned rally. Although they were not even flags, only paper cells and origami birds – and that the police and later the court decided that we showed the socio-political interests... That people with Soviet symbols specifically do it!"
Mr. Levinau asks to inform him about the investigation of the case. Especially that the spread of Soviet flags outraged townspeople. As well as the persistence of distributors: man and woman lying in wait for passers-by, shoved into the hands of the box, and then show a piece of paper, where the value is written – 20 thousand rubles. Almost nobody buys – all give checkboxes ago to learn that this is not a gift.
On the propagation of the USSR flags in the streets of many cities reported residents of Belarus. Here's what readers write Charter'97 site from Vitebsk:
"I also tried to take a photo of a Woman on Friday near the "Evikom", but seeing a mobile phone, she started running," – says the reader.

"In Vitebsk one distributor viteblyanin knocked two teeth. It happened at the intersection of Frunze and Lenin. First, check the distributor offered the USSR and then Russia. Then the young man broke down and hit. The green light came on, and he went and distributor began to shout. So much for the "deaf and dumb"."
