Gennady Berdenev was tried in absentia: on December 1 he could not get from Połacak by 9:30 to the court of the Moscow district of Minsk. He learned about the fine of 25 basic units by phone.
Gennady Berdenev said that the protocol "for participation in an unsanctioned rally" on October 21 was also made in absentia: he was not detained in Minsk, but his identity was established from photographs.
The protocol of the offense was in the Połacak ROVD, the entrepreneur stresses:
"Police officers were looking for me in the market, I was not at that time, and they told me through my colleagues to call the police. On the phone, I was called "to talk," during which I made up the protocol of the offense. As evidence showed pictures from the site of Radio Liberty. I did not challenge my participation in the action, but I did not sign the protocol either."
According to Gennady, he wrote a statement to the Minsk court that his case also be disassembled in Połacak. Since he has no opportunity to get to the trial in Minsk. However, the statement remained without attention, and the essence of the court decision became known to him only on December 5.
