On contact with the outside world
The last three months of correspondence with the human rights defenders and civil society activists he was one-sided: Michael received the letter, but could not answer them. After the verdict, he sent eight letters to his associates, which reported on the penalties imposed by the court. However, these letters were censored and seized the recipients never reached. Only after a special decision of the Viciebsk regional court on 11 August, which restored his right to correspondence, Michael was able to send their mail.
Michael says that within six months were completely blocked by his contacts with relatives. It was only on August 12 for the entire first term of police custody a date with his cousin. Convicted rights activist says that during the meeting with the cousin she informed him that the state was pressured almost all his relatives, "including those who even during the Nazi occupation were juvenile prisoners."
What kind of pressure was exerted on any of the relatives – the letters are not reported.
