As reported by the Belarusian tour operators, domestic tourism companies have experienced difficulties with the transfer of money to partners abroad through banks with Russian capital, represented in Belarus. So, for a whole week detained dollar payment via "Belvnesheconombank" one of the largest Belarusian travel agencies.
We are talking about several payments through the American correspondent accounts in the amount of tens of thousands of dollars. Money "podvisli" to a request to explain the situation the bank's employees in an informal conversation said the tour operator that this was "in light of recent events" (we are talking about sanctions that have left the European Union and the United States on a number of Russian organizations).
According to tour operators, the bank promises to deal with the problem, although it suggests that the money "BelVEB", as it should be transferred to the American bank, so its part of the operation performed, and yet offers a second time (!) to transfer money abroad through other correspondent accounts. The situation is aggravated by the fact that it is currently at the height of tourist season, and wait a long time until the bank finds a way to return the "frozen" transfer, the firm can not - foreign partners may refuse to host tourists for tours which are not received the money. It turns out that is - to pay for the second time? Naturally, a tour operator in a panic!
At the same time, according to official information, voiced by Deputy Chairman of the Board "BelVEB" Andrey Romanenko, the delay can not be associated with sanctions. This is for a number of circumstances. Firstly, the sanctions in no way related to this issue, as payments, they are connected only to the ban to the country of foreign resources and loans to banks accordingly. Secondly, Belarusian banks with Russian capital of such loans have never taken so that in general there is no opportunity to link the actions of American bank with sanctions issues. According to Andrey Romanenko, delay payments through the American correspondent accounts are not uncommon, as the banks of the USA often enough practice test companies who make payments. However, usually it is only a delay of 1-2 days, in the present case, however, a number of payments "frozen" for a week.
"This has never happened - said the representative firms - in the future will choose to work without Russian banks assets!"
Recall that, in addition to "Belvnesheconombank", in Belarus there are still two Russian banks, which imposed sanctions - "Gazprombank" and "VTB".
So what really happened with the money firms that tried to transfer them abroad with the help of Russian and American correspondent banks, and whether it can really be associated with these sanctions?
