At the extraordinary presidential elections held on May 25 in Ukraine, came to more than 3 thousand international observers. Among them were Belarusians. Beyond that, how the will of the Ukrainian people, watched a few dozen activists from Belarus. One of them was a human rights activist from Vitebsk Leonid Svetsik, who spoke to "Dialogue" about his impressions of his stay in Ukraine.

Vitebsk Region visited the Goodwill Ambassador for the charity organization "Hungarian Interchurch Aid", wife of the Prime Minister of Hungary Aniko Levai. Ms. Aniko Levai visit lasted two days. The delegation also included the president-director of "Hungarian Interchurch Aid" Laszlo Lehel, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Belarus Vilmos Siklavari, other representatives of diplomatic missions and charitable organizations.

Gross average wage of Vitebsk region in the first spring month amounted to 5,035,622 per month and increased by 312,282 rubles. Previous two months salary workers area decreased in January - to 419,549 rubles in February - to 25,572 rubles. The March increase could not compensate for the decline of wages at the beginning of the year - December level of 5,168,461 ruble has not yet been reached.

Ministry of Statistics has published data on average earnings in each of the regions of Belarus in January 2014. The poorest area became Sharkovshchina. In January, workers here earn only $338. A little more in Mstislavl ($354) and Braslav ($359) districs.

Gross average wage of Vitebsk region in the first month of this year amounted to 4,748,912 per month and decreased by 419,549 rubles. Salary reduction is observed in the whole country.
