Activists of Free and Independent Trade Unions of Polotsk region participated in the seminar of the International Labour Organization (ILO), 13 and 14 May in Minsk. ILO experts brought together activists of Democratic Trade Unions and the Trade Union of the FPB, as well as representatives of employers and government officials.

Gross average wage of workers in Vitebsk region in the first month of the year was 5,316,850, and in the past month fell by nearly 550,000 rubles. The average salary in the country also decreased.

Accumulated average wage of the Vitebsk region in the last summer month amounted to 5,692,850 and in the past month fell to 18,022 rubles. Lower wages in August occurred in all regions of Belarus.
