Authorities are trying to attract foreign investors and at the same time ruining the local entrepreneurs, says the entrepreneur from Navapołacak Vladimir Zhurba.
October 29 held a "Navapołacak Economic Forum – 2015". Vladimir Zhurba could hardly get to the event. "Local entrepreneurs organizers did not really want to see among the participants. What the organizers – and this is the forum, – says Vladimir. – The event, in which I participated, lasted only half an hour."
The organizers of the forum were Navapołacak City Executive Committee, and Unitary Enterprise "Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce". After the forum, local authorities reported on the success of the event, of the hundreds of proposals for foreign partners. But in the end it was signed only one contract – with the Serbian delegation on recuperation of Belarusian children. The organizers can only hope that next year there will be more signed contracts.
According to the businessman Vladimir Zhurba, if the authorities really want to attract foreign investors, first of all, we should create conditions for local entrepreneurs: "Only local entrepreneurs know how to work in our environment, we need to develop. And to hope that foreign investors will come and we get rich – it's not a business approach to business and development."
Vladimir Zhurba said he often meets with foreign businessmen who openly say: "When we see that you and other local businesses are no problems in relations with the authorities, your local business is developing successfully, then we will think about investing their capital in your business."
Zhurba Vladimir Petrovich 1997 is an individual entrepreneur. In the nineties, he built on equity production base on 2 acres of an abandoned landfill under construction Navapołacak. From 1992 to 2014 he is a Technical Director of LLC "Vitorža".
