The Council of Ministers of Belarus decided to December 31, 2014 to acquire donated to the state ownership and Beshenkovichi Gorodokski forestries that are now branches of "Vitebskdrev". For the independent forest management were transferred to JSC "Vitebskdrev" in December 2009. According to reports ENPI, 2010 JSC "Vitebskdrev" procure 77,000 cubic meters of industrial wood, with wood processing enterprises for own production only 13,000 cubic meters and 40,000 cubic meters were exported, while another 24,000 cubic meters sold in the domestic market of Belarus .

Not without its problems: in 2011, when retracting fifteen cutting areas for the felling total area of 50 ha of harvested timber volume branches "Gorodokski Forestry" of "Vitebskdrev" was defined in the amount of 12 thousand cubic meters. However, as it turned out, in fact on the specified logging sites was harvested 14.7 thousand cubic meters - 22 percent more than the permitted harvesting permits.
