In the first half the number of loss-making companies of the Vitebsk region, compared with the same period of the previous year has almost doubled. For I half 2014 were 169 unprofitable organizations or 16.0% of the total number of organizations considered in the current order (for the I half of 2013 - 91 organization, or 8.6%), according to the National Statistics Committee.

The number of unprofitable enterprises has grown and in the whole country. For I half 2014 were unprofitable in 1186 organizations, or 14.6% of the total number of organizations considered on an ongoing basis (for the I half of 2013 - 684 organization, or 8.4%).
